When traveling, I usually like to load up the iPod with some upbeat music for playing through speakers on the balcony or in the room.  What albums do you like to bring on vacation?  I know there will be some obvious answers.  That's OK.  I will start with one obvious one, and one not too typical.

I would have to bring:
Bob Marley - Legend
Wyclef Jean - Carnival and Carnival II

I agree - Caribbean travel HAS 2 include Bob Marley tunes!!!  I also take along CD's that will contain songs from his sons Ziggy, Stephen, & Damion (Jr Gong) whose most famous #1 hit is probably "Welcome To Jamrock"!  I create play list mixes that contain my FAV's by Genre & burn CD's for the CD player in a hotel room as well as adding them to my i-pod which is great on the plane and beach!  When it comes to music, Jamaica isn't a third world country who is waiting for months for new releases to make it to the Island.  Jamaica's a great place to purchase CD mixes that contain the latest new hits in Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, & R&B music!  As an added bonus CD's are relatively inexpensive there.  Everyone gets their start somewhere  & talented musicians are plentiful in Jamaica so don't be too hesitant to take a chance on letting go of $10 to enjoy one of the local artists.
